After declining, she spent an adolescence in her dad’s Brooklyn studio before moving to LA to work on her debut album, Cheap Queen. Signing on Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records imprint, she’s dreamed up a soundtrack to her world that’s equal parts camp, courageous and tender. ⠀ We meet the superstar-in-waiting off of the back of a triumphant Glastonbury performance and ahead of the release of her first album proper.
